The Neighborhood Plan Guide is the culmination of collaboration with Pittsburgh’s communities and public agencies. This started by capturing staff experiences with Uptown, Hazelwood, Manchester-Chateau, and Homewood neighborhood planning processes into an initial draft. Partner agencies reviewed this draft and provided over 400 comments that helped staff refine the guide. Community organizations involved in the first four neighborhood plans participated in a focus group and reviewed this draft. Finally, the guide when through a 30-day public comment period and multiple reviews by the City’s Planning Commission before they adopted the guide in March 2020. Thank you all who participated in the creation of this guide and to your daily work to improve Pittsburgh’s communities.
